BIO:

Professor Fei CHEN received his BSc and MPhil degrees in Electronic Engineering, Nanjing University, and Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2005. He continued his research as a post-doctor/research assistant professor at the University of Texas at Dallas and The University of Hong Kong and moved to the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) as an associate professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering in 2014. Professor Chen’s research interests include speech perception and assistive hearing technology, brain-computer interface, and biomedical signal processing. Professsor Chen is a senior member of IEEE and has published over 80 journal papers and over 60 conference papers. He received the best presentation award at the 9th Asia Pacific Conference of Speech, Language and Hearing, and the 2011 National Organization for Hearing Research Foundation Research Awards in States. He is now serving as associate editor of Frontiers in Psychology, and editorial member of Biomedical Signal Processing and Control and Physiological Measurement.
